Exclusive Preferido to hit shelves at Michael’s Tobacco
Miami, FL, August 1, 2014 – Michael’s Tobacco was no stranger to La Aurora and the premium grade cigars they produced. Needless to say, it didn’t take much to convince the owners and some of the regulars to actually fly to the D.R. and check it out. After rep, Justin Sandlin held an event displaying these Dominican cigars, it wasn’t long before the flights were booked and bags packed. Ten lucky aficionados were on their way to Santiago, D.R. to get some real hands on training in the factory of La Aurora.
Upon arrival, the crew was presented with one of La Aurora’s prized Preferidos wearing the beautifully dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The blend was a hit from the initial light to the fall of the last ash, but it didn’t stop there. Once the guys made it back to the states, any willing ear was filled with stories of rollers, tobacco barns, and this incredible cigar with a rich oily wrapper; affectionately known as the Diamond Preferido.
After much anticipation, Miami Cigar and La Aurora are pleased to announce their collaboration with Michael’s Tobacco and the release of the Diamond Preferido in a 6×58 double figurado. This release will be limited to 100 boxes exclusively distributed to both the Euless and Keller locations in Texas. Along with the usual La Aurora band, this vitola will also sport a secondary band reading “Michael’s” across the front.
Owner Michael Peacock, couldn’t be happier to bring in such a sought after blend, not to mention adding a little more exclusivity. You can find more information about Michael’s Tobacco online at www.michaelstobacco.com .
